The current President of the Cardiology Consultant Medical Group, Dr. Work comes from Salt Lake City, Utah, and graduated from Stanford University with Distinction in Human Biology. He then received his medical degree from Yale University School of Medicine. After finishing his Internal Medicine training at Yale-New Haven Hospital, New Haven, Connecticut, he went on to his Cardiology training at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, Beverly Hills, CA. Subsequently, he spent a year as the Director of the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory at Sepulveda VA Hospital, before joining Cardiology Consultants in 1988.
Dr. Work founded and is the current Director of the Nuclear Cardiology program at Cardiology Consultants. He also specializes in interventional cardiology, performing procedures such as angiograms, angioplasty, and implanting stents. He was one of the first physicians in the Valley to implant a drug-eluting stent. Dr. Work is on staff at most major hospitals in the Valley, including Providence Tarzana Medical Center, West Hills Medical Center, and Motion Picture Hospital.
Dr. Work is a member of American Heart Association, American College of Cardiology, and American College of Physicians. He is board certified in Internal Medicine and Cardiology.
Dr. Work's research has been in the area of diagnostic and prognostic factors in various cardiovascular conditions. He has been an investigator in multiple clinical trials.
